Community Relations skills and discussion workshops These workshops are designed to combine practical skills training with group discussion. The purpose of the workshops is to aid each participant to develop a personal sense of empowerment through political discussion and then to transform it into effectiveness in the exercise of citizenship in a community relations context. Participants will share political ideas and their own experiences of politics, explore political differences and areas of common concern, and discuss the shape of the political, social, economic and cultural future of Northern Ireland. The workshops are held in different locations across Northern Ireland and six border counities. A summary of the discussion is produced afterwards. The DIALOGUE programme is a series of community dialogues that focus on four strands of education toward peace and reconciliation. Through this project, we will be presenting workshops addressing the following broad topics:
Through participation woman will develop a personal sense of empowerment through political discussion and be guided in transforming it into effectiveness in the exercise of citizenship in a community relations context.
